"Where in the Duck are We? 4x4 Club" was founded in 2005 on the snowy trails near Butte Meadows, CA. The founding members were "lost," had little in the way of a plan or destination, and found an out-of-place duck decoy in the snow drifts. The club was born with the idea that all you need is basic four wheel drive, a few days out of the year and some buddies to have fun and escape the daily grind. Members are a loose group of trail wheeling and back country enthusiasts. We meet once a year for The Trip; five days in your rig with three of those days off-road.

The Trip 2014 is Coming!



The January Club Meet went great!  About half the club members showed up, which is more than we expected!  We watched the last FOUR years of club trip videos, ate pizza and drank beer.  It was put to a vote, and the semi-official date for "The Trip 2014" is May 21-25.  The Club will head to the badlands of Nevada, with stops at Seven Troughs/Tunnel Camp, Dixie Valley and Poinsettia.  We also planned a Club Swap-Meet, but the date chosen (April 20) turned out to be Easter Sunday... so that's been changed to April 13.  The swap meet will be held at Mike Phillips' place in Scotts Valley around noon that day.  Bring anything club related, gear related or gun related (parts/ammo/brass).  The idea is to get rid of that extra gear we all have floating around and give it to someone who might use it.  Check back with the Club page for updates.  Leave comments below!
