"Where in the Duck are We? 4x4 Club" was founded in 2005 on the snowy trails near Butte Meadows, CA. The founding members were "lost," had little in the way of a plan or destination, and found an out-of-place duck decoy in the snow drifts. The club was born with the idea that all you need is basic four wheel drive, a few days out of the year and some buddies to have fun and escape the daily grind. Members are a loose group of trail wheeling and back country enthusiasts. We meet once a year for The Trip; five days in your rig with three of those days off-road.

Info. for The Trip, 2012

We had one last thrown-together meet on March 8th.  At the meeting Mike handed out sweatshirts and DVDs of past Trips.  Nick ran the logistics by everyone and we attempted to get a head count for this year.  Evan brought out his crew and psyched us up for campfire fun.  It looks like we'll have at least four rigs, maybe five...and at least ten guys, maybe twelve.  We've been putting together a contact list with phone numbers and email addresses.  Keep your eye out for that coming to your email; make sure it gets passed on to your significant others along with a trip itinerary.  Thank you to everyone that has given cash to Nick for food this year.  As of the meeting, only Nick, Evan and David had not put in their money.  Food shopping will happen a few days prior to the trip and everyone should see a few bucks heading back to them.  Please remember to bring whats on your packing list and carry some extra cash... don't screw over your driver for the cost of your Trip.  With only a few days left, the plan is still for everyone to meet at Poinsettia (outside Fallon, NV) on March 21 and to head out convoy style from there.  See you there!
